I love the weekends that means Tilda creations for me. So today is our new challenge at Totally Tilda. This one is red and pink. Soooo perfect for Valentine's and I got to use my new favourite Tilda for the first time. She is soooo sweet! I coloured her using distress ink reinkers.
I found i had a hard time incorporating the red, but in the end am happy with the results. And look at those white puffy stems and clear heart those are from Evgenia's Etsy store, love them!

Hi again, wow I can't believe how fast the week flew by. We had sooo much fun at Disney on Ice last night. But I was disappointed not to see my favourite princess Sleeping Beauty.
All the others were there Mulan, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, Ariel, Snow White. I think the boys even liked it even thought they won't admit it. The Incredibles were really cool as was Toy Story! Now another busy hockey weekend for us at DD who is 6 has a two day tournament this weekend and the boys will be out of town for their hockey!
Enough of that now onto my creation. Over at Prairie Fairy Fridays we'd like to see Anything but a card. Well Chase is really started to enjoy reading so I made him a special bookmark. He says he can't wait until his new Club Penguin book order comes in so he can use it. I am also entering C.R.A.F.T. - Recipe digi, ribbons, buttons, Simon Says Stamp - anything goes.

Hi everyone, I got home late last night from spending my weekend out of town curling. We didn't win the bonspiel but we made it to the semi-finals so I still got a prize. I chose a Lug bag so I am super happy! But I have to say omg it hurt rolling out of bed today, my muscles are killing me!!!!
Today I have used a cute stamp from Whiff of Joy called Birdie in Love. I coloured the stamp with copic markers. The papers are a 7 Gypsies. We have such a fun theme this week at Magnolia Down Under. Our challenge it to create a card using the colours of your National Flag. Well The Canadian Red and White were perfect for a Valentine's themed card. I used Basic Grey Nordic Papers. Tilda was a gift from Mandy and I have coloured her with copics. The flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts. I made a pin using a cute heart bead and added a heart ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbons. The die cuts are all Magnolia. Ooooh and I just bought the heart punch at a bargain for $3.00.

My card was coloured using copics and prisma colour pencils. I love these fun DCWV Pet Stack papers and I even cut out the sentiments from the paper. I think it works well together. I'm headed out of town for the weekend to a ladies Curling Bonspiel, so wish me luck!

Well you must know by now that I just love the TOMIC challenge so I had to try their sketch and fabric challenge. That stripey panel is actually the pocket from one of my Grandma's old shirts that I have saved to make DD a dress. I thought the pocket with the perfect size and colour. I have coloured this sweet cupid stamp with distress ink re-inkers. And added flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the small pink sweet peas are from Evgenia's Etsy store I love them they are velvety!

It's time for another Prairie Fairy Challenge and we'd like to see your creations to the song California Dreaming.... Well I thought of the ocean and sailing and wanted to do a masculine card for a change. I used my prismacolour pencils and 7 Gypsies paper. My gosh, I feel like I am always telling you how busy I am, but it's true. I wake up, quickly peek into blogger, rush the kids off to school, then work, then my evenings are consumed with hockey, not to mention my other side jobs. OMG I'm lucky I even get a moment to craft. I have a brand new Whiff of Joy card for you today. This is Henry with Large Bow. This stamp is from the new Valentine's release but I used some fun bright colours and went for a birthday card. Henry is coloured with copics.... Yikes I have the colours all bundled in front of me and I forget to photograph them...aaaaahh!

Where did the holidays go, they just flew by and the kids are back to school tomorrow!
Today I have a reminder for you that our challenge is still going at Totally Tilda. We'd love to see Thank you cards. I had this Tilda sitting on my desk coloured for ages so I finally finished a card with her using the new picadilly basic grey papers. In hindsight I think the blue ribbon and two blue flowers are too bright, but it's too darn late...lol! I hope you'll pull out those Tilda's and play along!

We really enjoyed our few weeks off at Magnolia Down Under but we're back with an easy challenge for you. This one is anything goes. This is the card I made for my TT boss Susie Sugar. Other than the sentiment and snowflake I think it could be a year round card. Tilda is coloured with distress ink re-inkers. All the edges are sponged and distressed and of course sewn. The Merry Xmas is a sticker and I added some glittery flowers. And look at those gorgeous pins from my TT teamie Mandy, beautiful!
As you read I should be enjoying a beautiful winter wedding. Hopefully I'll have a pic or two for you next week. Don't forget to check back tomorrow for one of my new Totally Tilda cards.

Happy Blue Birthday...

Wow the weather is above 0 here today, for us that feels like Summer. The kids and dh are out playing road hockey and I had a bit of time to craft so just finished this Tilda for the TOMIC Challenge - sketch, blue, white, glitter.
I used my distress ink re-inkers to colour her (Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Aged Mahogany, Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint and Black Soot). The cute brass butterfly charm and lacy blue flower were from Sara, thanks doll! The blue butterfly is Recollections from Michael's as is my new Tag punch, love it!

I have another Whiff of joy sneak peek for you today. Tomorrow these cute new Valentine's stamps will be available for purchase. This is Cupid Henry.
I was inspired by these K & Co. papers which even included a few of the flowers and the LOVE sticker. Sweet Henry is coloured with copics (see pic) for colours. Of course I had to add stickles to the flowers and wings.
Can you believe it's 3am and I couldn't sleep so I am scheduling this post and now off to bed. Hope you're all having a wonderful week, the weather has been great and I am really enjoying being lazy in the evenings just watching movies with the kids.

Have you seen the December issue of the Whimsy Stamps inspiration magazine.
It's packed full of hints, tips and inspiration.
I'd like to share one of my magazine creations with you.
I fell in love with this stamp called Sealed with a kiss by Crissy Armstrong the minute I saw it.
Wouldn't it make a great Valentine's card too? I went for a monochromatic card. Sweet and simple, the sentiment is a rub on. I used copics for my image and added a snowflake, some hearts and a button. I love how it turned out.

Yay! A new year and new resolution, I think I need to make a list of mine. So far one is to take photos of my copics so here's the first! The Caios are R20, R32, W1, W3, E35, E37, 0
And I have a super cute sneak peek of one of the new stamps that will be released on January 5th from Whiff of Joy. I love these WOJ papers and thought they worked so well with this new birdie. I used copics for most of the stamp and prismacolour pencils for the blue bird.

Fairy Sparkly Wings...

Time for another Prairie Fairy Friday challenge, this time we'd like to see your creations with sparkly wings. I have to admit I have not crafted over the holidays so quickly put this one together last night, I would have loved to stitch it, but was short on time. The flowers are all from wild orchid crafts. I finally found that gorgeous green ribbon hiding in my mess on my desk and that set the tone for the card. I also just ordered a ton of x-press it blending card - omg it is soooo silky smooth. So I decided to use my prisma colours for her dress. The awesome green sparkly swirl is from a set I bought at the dollar store - love it! Not much else to add, hoping you have a great day!

Christmas treasures...

What beautiful weather we are having here. of course it is still winter but it is nice and mild today so dh is going to take the boys sliding. Only problem is we haven't had much snow so they will only go to a tiny hill near our house. In the meantime I wanted to share this Whiff of Joy stamp with you using Christmas Treasures stamp. I went for some fun colours. I thought I'd colour his stripey sweater to match my dp. I have used copics and will make a news year's resolution to photograph my copic colours as I never seem to remember. The paper is My Minds Eye - so fun! We have been so busy I haven't had much time to craft, but stay tuned for some WOJ previews in the near future!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. My kids were soooo spoiled and well so was I! We're still so full from 4 big meals with family that I don't think I'll need to eat for a week...hahaha who am I kidding! New Year's is just around the corner and my sister, bil, dh, the kids and I will be spending at a hotel in the city. I also found a box of cards that have fallen apart or never were completed so I decided to work on that project. So for my card today I have coloured this new Tilda with snow heart in copics and added my own Happy New Year Sentiment. Wow can you believe it's already Christmas Eve. Where has the year gone?
I'm so happy to be able to share a Christmas card with you that was featured in Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Magazine. I have used this adorable Wee Stamp Christmas Bunny and Raindrop Echo Designs holiday notables sentiment.
We had a great Christmas dinner last night with one side of the family and the kids have already received so many gifts. Tonight we're off to my MIL's for dinner and then more family dinner tomorrow night, busy, busy. I hope you are all having a wonderful Holiday Season.

I'm slowly but surely finishing up the last of my Christmas cards, I am sooo short this year. I had to really cut my list. Once again I let the TOMIC challenge set the pace for my card. Their theme is to add purple and snowflakes. I coloured this sweet Tilda from Mandy, thanks doll! I added a really snowy snowflake behind Tilda, made some tiny tags from stickers and added a gorgeous gem charm! I also have some super sparkly holly leaves that I love! Holly Jolly Christmas...

It's so crazy, I just noticed that all my projects this week are gold. Must be because I have a gold Christmas Tree upstairs and have been wrapping all the adult gifts in gold to match. Whatever the reason it is what it is. I love the way this card turned out. I used Prairie Fairy's Holly Fairy and since our theme is Holly Jolly Christmas but no red or green I had to colour her leaves gold. I was inspired by the gorgeous die that Margreet sent me and the colour set the palette. I added a pretty rub on sentiment and some Wild Orchid craft flowers. Too bad DH's hand is in there, but i couldn't get it to stand on it's on. Hey I'm just happy he actually helped...lol

I am like a kid in a candy store with these adorable Tilda's from Mandy. So when I saw the ornament challenge at TOMIC I thought I'd make one for my own tree. I used a snowflake foam ornament from the dollar store and added some extra snowflakes, a sentiment (whimsy stamps), brad and sweet Tilda. Doesn't it look great on my tree?

Saturday already, as you read this hopefully I'm out finishing up my Christmas shopping with my middle son. Him and I are on a weekend trip to the city. He has a big hockey game tomorrow! Hopefully he'll join me for Twilight tonight otherwise I'm going by myself!
For our challenge at Magnolia Down Under this week we'd like you to use something found around the house. I had one of those travel neck pillows. Unfortunately it tore open and the white filling was everywhere and since I can't throw anything away I thought I'll save that for shaker cards.
So I've made a shaker card for the TOMIC challenge using these two adorable stamps that Mandy sent me! I couldn't wait to colour them.

I hope you are all getting excited for the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Magazine that will be released on December 21st, all the dt have been busy creating projects for the magazine.
I wanted to share a card I made for a previous issue. My boys loved this one. I used Bart playing football and decided to do a football shape. I added some eyelets and twine to lace the top of it. Bart is coloured with copics. Don't forget to check out all the great rubber available at Whimsy!

Is anyone else as addicted to online shopping as I am? OMG I buy everything online and forget what I bought. Well my visa bill came in today....omg!!!! Shhhhhh..... Thank goodness it is close to Christmas so I can try to explain to hubby that most of it is for gifts but I'm having a hard time explaining all the stamp, craft supplies, flower, paper, etc... purchases.... not to mention the ones from our local craft stores! If anyone has a crafters hotline to call please let me know I think
I need help....lmao!

So it took me a while but I finally made a project using the two mini's for the Magnolialicious Highlites challenge. Both stamps Wrapped and Unwrapped Tilda are available from Magnolialicious. I saw this sparkly candle holders at Michaels and knew immediately I would use Tilda on them. I made a tiny 3x3 note card to match.
Well it's Monday so back to work, I have a busy week with a side job, kids in hockey and wrapping all those presents, hope you all have a great start to your week!

White Christmas...

This week at Totally Tilda we have a White on White theme, but the rules are tough this week. You can only colour Tilda's hair and skin, not even any shading allowed on her clothes and now other colours anywhere, not even a green leaf and it wasn't easy...hahaha, but I'm happy with my tag. The background is embossed using the swirl pattern and then glitter added. I embellished with a doily, a handmade ribbon flower, some pearls, lace, and some icy sprigs.
My son played so well at his hockey game today and they finally won! Still out of town but I should be home tomorrow, catch up with you all later!

Where has the time gone, two weeks flew by and it's time for another Prairie Fairy Friday challenge. This time Corry has chosen a great winter scene for your inspiration, beat the winter blues. Today I wanted to share a simple idea using Rain Drop Echo's Christmas Tree in Words stamp. I cut out a simple tag shape and embossed the stamp in gold and added a few embellishments. I thought this would be a great way to decorate a simple gift full of gorgeous paper flowers most of which are available from Whimsy Stamps and Wild Orchid Crafts. The perfect gift for a crafter! I know I'd love it!

I'm sure you all know that I love to enter the Tomic Challenge so this week the theme is to make a card using an animal and Magnolia Papers. I used this sweet dog that I've had coloured sitting on my magnetic board for ages, almost two years so he finally got put to a card/tag. I really love making tags lately. The shape is from a tag that came with my daughter's bed spread packaging and I love copying it, can you tell?...lol

Time for a new challenge at Totally tilda, this time we'd like to see masking. Now there's two reasons I never do masking, one because I hate cutting...lol and two because I suck at it. We have a new fall challenge over at the Prairie Fairy Friday blog, but if you looked out my window you'd swear it's winter, snow everywhere! For my card I really wanted to do a fall wreath so I used on of the leaves from the Blooms set and copy and pasted it multiple times in photoshop to form a wreath which I coloured with copics and went for a simple layout.

I was so excited to try the new TOMIC challenge yesterday that I even made a gift bag from scratch, coloured my Tilda, added all my embellies and then double checked their site and omg their was a photo inspiration too. My first bag is all blue...yikes... so I made a quick trip to the Dollar store to buy some real paper lunch bags....lol.
so here you have take two... with the red incorporated. I had to use copics this time as it just takes me way too long with the DI's and since this is my second attempt I was running out of time. I made the lace flower and added some berries and leaves from the dollar store.

Just a reminder that over at Totally Tilda we still have our non traditional Christmas challenge on for another week. So no red, green or blue, of course I picked pink! My first time using this sweet stamp and I think she'll be used all year long. The snowflake die cut was from Robert (aka prairie fairy) I think I need to borrow more that was my last one...lol. I coloured my stamp with distress ink re-inkers. We have a great challenge this week at Magnolia Down Under - we'd like to see the sentiment as the main focus of the card. I used this beautiful stamp I picked up a few years ago at a Scrap function and thought it would be perfect paired with this Tilda. This is my first time using her as I wasn't too fond of her long braids at first but I think once coloured she grew on me. Most of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I added some sparkly gold leaves!

These are so fun to make and are really simple I used Crissy Armstrong's poinsettia stamp from last year's Christmas release which is available at Whimsy Stamps. It's stamped 3 times and layered for a 3D effect and I decided to go with pink and silver rather than the usual red! thanks for stopping by!

Well thank goodness for the TOMIC challenge this week to use Edwin or I fear this guy would have never saw ink. I have to say though I'm glad he did and I'm happy with the way the card turned out. Of course it always helps to have a great sketch to work with! I also followed the colour theme at the Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge and managed to sneak one Wild Orchid flower on there! And I am entering Just Magnolia - Anything goes. The ticket stamp is from Whimsy Stamps!

Time for a great challenge at Totally Tilda, this time we`d love to see your Christmas cards but the catch is no red, green or blue on your creations! I used this sweet new Tilda, she is my favourite from the Fall Kit. I have coloured her with distress ink re-inkers and went for a purple theme with my card. The papers are Kaisercraft. The gorgeous flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.
I am also entering Just Magnolia - open, pearls, lace, Jellypark Challenges - non traditional Christmas colors.

I just knew the day would come where I would have to try the no black lines technique. I have to admit it's pretty scary at first and I wasn't loving my image until the card was completed, now I love it! I saw the new challenge at TOMIC to create a basket and thought I'd give it a try. I went with a simple square shape and used the colour inspiration from Magnolialicious-highlites challenge blog. Sweet Tilda can be bought at the Magnolialicious store along with the flower and tag doohickey's. All the edges are sponged in Vintage photo and Tilda has been coloured with Distress Inks re-inkers. I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the handle and affixed it with some cute pearl brads. I also spritzed the tissue paper with glimmer mist but it doesn't photograph well. I am entering this also at Just Magnolia - Christmas.

Christmas Crackers..

Today I'm sharing a simple Christmas cracker that was created for Issue 4 of the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine http://issuu.com/whimsystamps/docs/issue4
These are so fun to make and are really simple. I punched a piece of white cardstock for the centre and added Crissy's adorable Santa Claws stamp (available in rubber) to the snowflake and glued it to the centre of the cracker. You can also buy the crackers. Look for a simple pattern so you can add your own touches and fun embellishments. I didn't realize until after the magazine came out that some of my U.S. blogger friends weren't familiar with crackers. So I'll give a brief description. At Christmas time each person has one at their place setting and you and the person next to you each grab and end and pull. They make a crack/pop sound and tear open to reveal a small toy, funny joke and a paper hat. I have seen them at Michael's in North Dakota and Martha Stewart has a sample on her website that was featured on one of her shows.

We have a fun new theme at Magnolia Down Under - shh it's a secret, hide something on your creation. I chose to hide my message. When you pull out the snowflake you can read it! I used this cute Tilda and went for a icy feel for my card. Too bad my snowflake charm is hiding, didn't notice when taking my pics! My card above was featured in the magazine, we are so lucky to have the gorgeous wee stamps available in rubber now at Whimsy! I coloured this winter fairy with copic markers and paired her with Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses papers. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts!
You can also see my custom stamp that I use for my Christmas cards on the back. They are custom made by Raindrop Echo designs in rubber at Whimsy, check them out! I'm taking my oldest son to Cirque de Soleil tonight, I'm soooo excited. It's Michael Jackson the Immortal themed, can't wait!

Here is a card I made for my previous blog candy winner, Belinee!
I wanted to surprise her with a card so this is my first time using this Tilda. I have coloured her with distress re-inkers. I have used Magnolia papers. The heart in the top corner is metal and I have painted it white. Hmmmm what else I've added some cheesecloth, the fabric is from our local fabric store which has since closed. The gorgeous flowers are Wild Orchid Craft.

Today at the Prairie Fairy blog we'd love to see your creations using wet embossing. For mine I embossed the new Magnolia snowflakes onto the green panel with versamark, then white emboss powder and heated it with my heat gun. The cute image is the Snow Family available from Prairie Fairy Designs which I have coloured with copics.

I just love the new Christmas gnomes from Whiff of Joy. This is my first time using the
Oh Christmas Tree stamp. I have coloured my image with copics. I went with a simple fold to hold a gift card. It uses the same piece of 12x6 cardstock just folded a bit different you can see my simple tutorial Here. Isn't that ribbon gorgeous it was a surprise from the beautiful Ann Vento, thank you so much I love it! The sentiment is a sticker. We have a fantastic sketch by Eulanda this week over at Magnolia Down Under and a great prize too. I had fun with this one. I have used Charleston Tilda and coloured her with distress inks. I went for a monochromatic colour scheme. The flowers and the gorgeous slider pearls are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and I love the ones with the black centres. I haved used vintage photo distress ink on all the edges of the Anna Griffin papers and the Tim Holtz distress tool around the main image.
