Well back again with another Tilda creation. I was at Michael's a few weeks and saw these eggs in a big bin. Which gave me the idea to add Tilda, so I found this small one and made sure to ask the girls working there if it was hollow, they said it was but the really small one was not. The ones in the photo above are the really jumbo ones, they are huge!!!!
My daughter wanted the pink, but I said it was too bright and went for yellow since I had my cute chickie tilda in mind. But I bet the blue would have been great!
I drew the opening shape with a pencil and cut it out with a steak knife...lol. The inside edge was a big rough so I sanded it and added the pearls and lace to finish it off. I painted the inside with glue and added clear glitter I wanted it to be sparkly inside like a Christmas ornament.
I actually shredded green paper in three shades for grass but ended up covering it all with flowers. Tilda is adhered to a toothpick and then I poked it in some of DD's play-doh and added the easter stem to look like a tree! Of course flowers are a necessity. I also placed a giant flower inside that is what is on the bottom. I envisioned it way more frilly but opted for just a simple ribbon and flower on the outside. I have it displayed on my shelf, it's much cuter in real life! DH even likes it!
