So I have some really really exciting news to share with you. The beautiful Katharina Frei has asked me to join the Whiff of Joy team and OMG I can't be more excited!!!! I am completely over the moon. I have loved Whiff of Joy stamps since I started cardmaking. So you can imagine what a complete honour this is. And as fate would have it I just received this City Girl stamp Dancing Willow, which I ordered a few weeks ago. Today I coloured with distress inks, I find them relaxing for a change, but you need a bit more time than with copics. I wanted my flowers to match my dp so I experiemented and the results are so different. The dark pink ones were dyed with 1 drop of Tim Holtz distress ink refill aged mahogany in about 2 tbl. sp. water. They took the colour well but they became far too saturated that they nearly fell apart. The light pink ones were done using 1 drop aged mahogany and 2 tbl. sp. alcohol. Well the ink and alcohol do not mix, but I actually preferred the soft look it achieved. Can you believe the difference between the two, wow! I added pearls to match her necklace and a beautiful butterfly. All the edges are distress with vintage photo. Well that's about it, I am entering my card at ....
