Christmas Crackers..

Today I'm sharing a simple Christmas cracker that was created for Issue 4 of the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine http://issuu.com/whimsystamps/docs/issue4
These are so fun to make and are really simple. I punched a piece of white cardstock for the centre and added Crissy's adorable Santa Claws stamp (available in rubber) to the snowflake and glued it to the centre of the cracker. You can also buy the crackers. Look for a simple pattern so you can add your own touches and fun embellishments.
I didn't realize until after the magazine came out that some of my U.S. blogger friends weren't familiar with crackers. So I'll give a brief description. At Christmas time each person has one at their place setting and you and the person next to you each grab and end and pull. They make a crack/pop sound and tear open to reveal a small toy, funny joke and a paper hat. I have seen them at Michael's in North Dakota and Martha Stewart has a sample on her website that was featured on one of her shows.
Oh and Happy Halloween Everyone!
