Sorry to post so late but my husband came home yesterday during our kids hockey practice and said our 6 year old hurt his leg and needed to go to the hospital. He still had his skates on and was screaming his leg was twisted. So off to the Emergency Room we went, thankfully we're only 1 block from the hospital and no one was waiting when we arrived. So after he had some pain meds and relaxed they did an x-ray and turns out his leg has a spiral break. They splinted it and this morning he and I headed off to the city to see a specialist in case it needed surgery. Turns out it's a good break as far as breaks go and they put him in a cast to above his knee. He's super scared though and screams even when we try to sit him up, and we have to carry him everywhere because they said he's too little for crutches. We're still trying to see if the school will let him come with a wheelchair, otherwise it's going to be a long six weeks. On a good note. He's fine now and milking it for all it's worth, he got new clothes and a new wii game to keep him occupied, not to mention a trip to McDonald's to get a cool star wars toy!
